Reflexology Balancing the body through the feet

  • Are you feeling generally stressed, run down and in need of a lift?
  • Do you have specific health issues that you would like to address?
  • Are you looking for a preventative form of healthcare or just some ‘me’ time away from the strains and stresses of everyday life?

If you have answered “Yes” to any of these questions then reflexology treatments could help you!

How can Reflexology Help You?

  • Reflexology is deeply relaxing and can help reduce stress and tension.
  • Reflexology improves cellular waste removal and elimination.
  • Reflexology improves neural function - there are over 7,000 nerve endings on the feet which are all stimulated during the treatment.
  • Reflexology improves circulation thereby improving the efficiency of the organs and cells of the body.
  • Reflexology can improve energy levels and gives a sense of general wellbeing.
  • Reflexology does not treat symptoms, but looks at the whole person from an holistic point of view.
  • Reflexology does not claim to cure, diagnose or treat.

Testimonial

“I decided to embark on a course of reflexology following the recommendation of a friend. At the time I was under a lot of pressure at work and my blood pressure and cholesterol levels were high. Rather than embark on a course of medication, I wanted to try and bring it down naturally. I found the treatments incredibly relaxing and would always fall asleep. I always left the sessions with an incredible sense of wellbeing. My stress levels began to decline and so did my blood pressure. Sophia enabled me to make several lifestyle changes, which really helped the healing process. I now feel more energised, clear headed and able to cope with the stresses life sometimes likes to throw at us. Many thanks.”

How does Reflexology work?

Every organ, structure and system of the body is mirrored in the feet and hands through reflex points. These different reflexes of the feet and hands are connected to the body through energetic channels of energy or zones. These zones or channels can easily become blocked through stress, emotions, trauma or illness, causing the body to function less efficiently. Imagine a zone is like a hosepipe and an illness is like a stone that is trapped in the pipe. High pressure will build in one end and low pressure in the other. Reflexology aims to release tension and direct the free flow of energy throughout the body to bring about self-healing and normalise the functions of the body.

What happens during a Treatment?

The feet and hands are like mini maps of the body with the right side being reflected on the right foot and the left side of the body reflected on the left foot. Reflexology uses a series of techniques to apply pressure to the different reflexes of the feet to bring about a state of deep relaxation, thereby stimulating the body’s own healing processes, helping you return to a position of balance and wellbeing.
